2024 FOALS
DONALF NEIRIN L'AMOUR
2024, like 2021, saw only one foal born when not all of our breedings were successful. This darling colt (out of Du Hameau Dandy Kosie) quickly earned his name with his cuddly, soft disposition. L'Amour has exceptional conformation and has lovely movement with three quality gates. He is thoughtful, calm and intelligent. His gentle disposition and quiet confidence makes him a joy to work with. Add to this he is a big beautiful colt with some real ‘presence’. We expect Kohl to be one of our tallest foals at 15.3-16hh with a sporty build. We were thrilled when the President of the Cheval Canadien Horse Association of Ontario and prior owner of a Neirin son competing in dressage came to see L'Amour and decided to purchase him. We were even happier to learn that she would board L'Amour at our farm! L'Amour is currently living with his herd of aunties and half-siblings, following a fall weaning from his mom and dad.

2023 FOALS
DONALF NEIRIN KOHL
Kohl (out of Du Hameau Dandy Kosie) is our first foal from the Kosie-Neirin pairing and boy were we immediately impressed by his conformation, athleticism and soft personality. Kohl's paddock zoomies and cute adventure training videos made him internationally popular on social media and he was quickly reserved by a fellow breeder in Alberta to be their future herd sire. His new owners had this to say about Kohl: This colt is delightful to work with. He has an endearing and soft presence about him and yet the spirit and resolve of one who was created to leave his mark on this world. His lineage begs the opportunity. We’re just a wee bit excited about this one.

DONALF NEIRIN KASHMERE
This absolutely correct and refined filly (out of Ray-Ann Maxx Raïssa) is a spectacular athlete with a magical combination of power and elegance. Balanced and nimble, Kashmere has three light and elastic gaits. She also has an endearing sweet disposition. Brave, confident and curious, Kashmere is easy to train and a pleasure to work with. She proves the athleticism of the Räissa-Neirin combination once again, but with a little more softness in her demeanour. That being said, Kashmere is a true competitor at heart. Kashmere was also born in the pasture with the Donalf herd, and is currently being raised by many doting "aunties" along with half siblings Iridescence and L'Amour. Kashmere is currently offered for sale with a preference to a show home.

DONALF NEIRIN KNIGHT
Our flashy and sweet Canadian colt Knight (out of Hémi Merkure Reine) was going to be retained as Barb's personal horse as the last foal of the Bella-Neirin pairing. However, when Barb decided she couldn't part with Desi (and couldnt keep them all!), Knight was immediately reserved by a caring, experienced new owner in Colorado who had been admiring Knight from afar. A jet-black colt - our darkest at birth - his name was immediately apparent. Knight has beautiful contrasting white socks on three of four feet. The largest of the Bella-Neirin foals, he is beautifully balanced, athletic and has that sweet, people-loving personality we've come to expect from the Bella-Neirin pairing. Raised naturally with many doting "aunties" in the Donalf herd, Knight handled his long trip to Colorado as a yearling with confidence and poise.
2022 FOALS
DONALF NEIRIN JEWEL
Jewel (out of Hémi Merkure Reine) won over her new owner's heart immediately. A fellow breeder in Ontario, who had tragically lost a Neirin foal in delivery complications, bonded with Jewel at only weeks old. A lovely solid black filly, Jewel has correct conformation and a compact frame. But what makes Jewel truly special is her remarkably calm, trusting and almost mature approach to life. Some might say an old soul. Born and raised naturally in the pasture 24/7 with the Donalf herd, including her sire Neirin, Jewel proved that the Bella-Neirin pairing produces beautiful, soft, gentle foals who ADORE people right from birth.
DONALF NEIRIN JOLIE
Miss fancy pants redhead Jolie (out of Ray-Ann Maxx Raïssa) was reserved immediately and it's no surprise why. A gorgeous chestnut filly with flaxen mane, Jolie proved once again that the Räissa-Neirin pairing produces stunning foals with great minds, exceptional conformation and incredible athletic ability. Jolie and her sister Jewel continued the Donalf tradition of entering the world out in the pasture and being naturally raised 24/7 with the Donalf Canadian herd, including their sire Neirin. Jolie is currently wowing a fellow breeder in Alberta and we look forward to her future foals and accomplishments in working equitation, etc. competition.
2021 FOALS
DONALF NEIRIN IRIDESCENCE
Donalf Farms only foal for 2021 arrived May 19th at 12:45am. A black filly with a unique multi-coloured hoof and white sock, Desi (out of Hémi Merkure Reine) proved to be another immediate love bug. In fact Desi has wowed Barb so much with her bravery, intelligence and outgoing personality that Barb decided to keep her as her personal horse. At rising 4, Desi is currently a solid, compact young mare standing 14.1hh. She is one of the first to greet you, loves playing with toys and obstacles, and adores free jumping - and this pony powerhouse has amazing form!
2020 FOALS
DONALF NEIRIN HARLEY & DONALF NEIRIN HENNESSY
(Sold to Tom Bishop 4B Ranch Productions)
Photos: Mackenzie Madeley, Richard Hope & Barb Malcolm
Harlee (out of Ray-Ann Maxx Raïssa) and Hennessy (out of Demi Duc Rickey) were both born in the pasture and raised naturally 24/7 with the Donalf Farm Canadian herd, including many doting "aunties".
These boys are truly special. They are the most correct, athletic - in particular Harlee - colts Barb had ever bred. Harlee is the more curious and adventurous of the two, while Hennessy was softer and often wanted to cuddle with people.
Harlee and Hennessy quickly excelled in their training and started touring in Ranch Shows with new owner Tom Bishop. Tragically and despite heroic efforts by Tom, Hennessey passed away at the age of 4. We remain excited to see Harlee continue on to be an incredible ambassador for the Canadian Horse breed in Tom's many entertainment endeavors.
2019 FOALS
DONALF NEIRIN GALA (Sold to Michigan)
DONALF NEIRIN GANACHE (Sold to Quebec)
Photos: Mackenzie Madeley, Ryan Atwill & Barb Malcolm
Our very first foals, Gala and Ganache, were both born in the pasture and raised naturally 24/7 with the Donalf Farm Canadian herd, including their Sire Neirin.
Gala (out of Hémi Merkure Reine), a stunning solid black filly, showed immediate independence and self-confidence after birth. She also demonstrated she LOVES people. A true social butterfly, she would come to greet every new person with her gentle curiosity, and follow anyone coming into the paddock around like their shadow. Gala inherited her sire's fine, chiseled head and excellent conformation. Gala has matured to approximately 15hh and has a well-balanced, compact frame. She is now much loved by Neirin's former owner in Michigan.
Ganache (out of Demi Duc Rickey), a black filly with a flashy white star, is intelligent, confident and loving. Ganache has matured to approximately 15hh and is a solidly-built mare with PRESENCE. Ganache has incredible movement and with her presence and confident nature, we are excited to see her be an ambassador for us at her new home in Quebec.
