Iridescence (Dessi) is sired by Hidden Meadow Adanac Neirin, a gentle and athletic stallion, standing at 15hh. Dessi's mom is Hémi Merkure Reine, standing at 14.3hh.
Dessi was born in the pasture and raised naturally 24/7 with the Donalf Farm Canadian herd, including our herd stallion This calm and welcoming herd collectively teaches their foals and allows Barb and her team to handle and train the foals from their very first day.
Neirin, has represented his breed at the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair and was shown successfully by his breeder with the following accreditations: 2005 Grand Champion Futurity Stallion, 2006 Reserve Champion Futurity Stallion, 2011 Supreme Canadian and Reserve Supreme Canadian in both 2012 and 2013. Neirin has sired a number of high quality, accomplished Canadians, including a son competing at Prix. St. Georges Level Dressage, a beautiful daughter competing in the US in carriage driving, and a lovely chestnut daughter starting her career in eventing. Neirin’s father Adanac was also a refined stallion with impeccable manners. Adanac earned the Top Performance Horse Trophy at the Canadian Futurities in 2002 and numerous Senior English High Point Trophies in Florida. He was shown English, Western, Hunter, Endurance (50 mile) and Sidesaddle as well as Carriage Driving.

Gala is a stunning solid black filly and endearing character and distinct personality which was apparent within hours of her birth. She is an independent and self-confident filly, who LOVES people. In fact she spends more time with people and her sire than her dam, despite nursing! She is a true social butterfly, coming to greet every new person with her gentle curiosity, and following anyone coming into the paddock around like their shadow. Her disposition is truly one of a kind, even for a Canadian. Gala also has her sire’s good looks – in particular his fine, chiseled head – and excellent conformation. Gala is expected to mature at 15.1hh and have a well-balanced, compact frame. Gala will make an excellent ambassador for the Canadian breed with her charm and good looks. This incredibly social filly is a dream to handle. She leads well, comes when she is called and is great for grooming and the blacksmith.

With Neirin typically throwing height and her mother being our tallest Canadian mare, she is expected to mature at 15.3hh. Ganache has incredible movement and could be taken far in many disciplines. Her presence, athletic conformation and confident nature will make her an excellent ambassador for the breed.
